In June 2019, the project coordinator from Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after Ivan Boberskyj, the Vice-rector on scientific affairs and external relations Andrii Vovkanych held a meeting with the teachers of the Physical therapy and ergotherapy Department. This meeting summarized the work done within the REHAB project over the past six months:
It was reported that:
– Grant and Partnership Agreements have been signed,
– Documents have been prepared and a project registration card has been obtained from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine,
– A plan for the purchase of training and rehabilitation equipment required for the training classrooms and the practical laboratory has been drawn up,
– Physical therapy training programs were analyzed
– 4 teachers of the Physical Therapy and ergotherapy Department participated in international meetings (1st meeting was held at the Latvian Academy of Sports Education in Riga, Latvia; 2nd meeting was held at the Jozef Pilsudsky University of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland)
– 2 teachers of the Physical Therapy and ergotherapy Department participated in the seminar “Modern Educational Technologies in the Professional Training of Physical Therapists” held at the National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport in Kyiv, Ukraine
– The project banner was made
– Acquainted the teachers with the physical therapy book chosen by the working group for translation into Ukrainian
– Considered proposals of foreign books for purchase in the mini-library.
Shared the plans for the next six months:
– to develop and approve a new curriculum for the first year of master’s studies
– to develop educational resources for the first year of master’s studies in 2019-2020 years, to implement a pilot variant – training programs, recommendations for independent work, tests, etc;
– purchase equipment for training audiences and practical laboratory by the end of December 2019;
– obtain copyright for a physical therapy book and begin translating it;
– decide on a final list of foreign books on physical therapy and buy them for a mini-library;
– continue work on disseminating information about the project to teachers, students and the community in Lviv, as well as in the international arena;
– involve students in project implementation.
