Protection of clinical practice in “Physical Therapy in Neurology” within the Erasmus + program project “Innovative rehabilitation education –Introduction of new master degree programs in Ukraine” REHAB No. 598938-EPP-1-2018-1-LV-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP
The protection of Clinical practice on “Physical Therapy in Neurology” of second-year Master’s students took place at the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Department of I. Boberskyj Lviv State University of Physical Culture. Master’s students underwent clinical practice from September 7 to December 18, 2020 in rehabilitation centers and hospitals in Lviv and the region, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipropetrovsk region. During the defense, master’s students shared their impressions of the internship, noted the difficulties they had to face due to the epidemiological situation in the country.
The protection of the practice was accepted by Assoc.Prof. Bohdan Kruk and Acting Head of PT and OT Department , Assoc. Prof. Liubov Tsizh . Master’s student in addition to the required documents on clinical practice, also presented multimedia presentations with clinical cases, which they had to work with as a physical therapist under the guidance of clinical methodologists. Due to the current epidemiological situation, a significant number of students had the opportunity to practice at the place of work or residence, which allowed them to successfully consolidate their knowledge and skills in Physical therapy in neurology. The practice involved students in performing various tasks, namely the choice of survey methods, collection and analysis of survey data, problem identification, program creation, conducting rehabilitation classes, discussion of clinical cases, filling out documentation, etc. During the internship, students worked with patients with various diseases of the nervous system, different ages, genders, rehabilitation periods, etc.
