On November 20-21, 2019, the Scientific and Methodological Commission of the Higher Education Sector of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on “Evaluation of the professional competence of Physical therapy, Ergotherapy masters”.
Participants and representatives of LSUPC named after Ivan Boberskyj namely N. Ivasyk, O. Tyravska, K. Tymruk-Skoropad in the working group for the development of the concept of the Krok 2 exam for the specialty “Physical Therapy, ergotherapy” within the framework of the implementation of the European Union technical assistance, Erasmus + programe “Innovative Rehabilitation Education – Introduction of new master degree programs in Ukraine” REHAB of our university Ivasik, OI Tiravska, KA Timruk-Skoropad.
In the course of the work of the meeting, the grant holder, Aija Klavina, Latvian Academy of Sports Education, shared her experience on international approaches to the evaluation of physical therapists and ergotherapists in general and in Latvia in particular.
The working group defined the concept of the Step 2 exam, listened to the experience of implementing the OSCE Practical Exam at Ternopil Medical University, participated in discussing methods of assessing the competencies of a physical therapist, an ergotherapist. The basic blocks of structure of standardized exam “Step 2” for physical therapists are defined: axes, ratios.
